Sidestepping the Shadow of Awakened Superiority

Many are beginning to recognize a rising tide rippling throughout the collective ethos of humanity, as a newly awakened consciousness approaches a tipping point. What was once confined to New Age circles and fringe spiritual communities is now finding its place in the heart of the mainstream.

This exciting moment is an invitation into our own collective evolution -- As a family, a brotherhood, a species.

But even moments of revelation do not arrive without some degree of peril. They often come wrought with pitfalls that can elude even the most seasoned and skillful seeker.

One of the subtler traps for the newly awakened on the path to enlightenment is the impulse to idolize those who seem further along.

While its noble to honor those who share similar aspirations, few beliefs are more corrosive than the notion that any one person has it all figured out. Awakening may inspire one to teach, but this alone does not bestow the wisdom or humility required of a true guru.

And just because someone is awake doesn’t mean they’re complete in their learning.

Awakening isn’t the summit, it’s the beginning of the climb. This journey was never meant to be made in solitude, we were always destined to walk it side by side. To uplift each other through inspiration, not illusion. When we project divinity onto others, elevating them to something higher than human, the collapse of that fantasy wounds us all. Equally as destructive is the teacher who believes themselves to be above the very lessons they offer.

Many spiritual teachers never asked to be placed upon a pedestal of others expectations. And yet, once there, they may feel an unconscious urge to maintain a posture of authority or infallibility. This two-way trap can easily become a snare between teacher and student alike, preventing both from evolving further.

Eventually, one must release the need to lead or be led, and accept a humbling truth: embodied life is a classroom, and we are all here to learn.

Honor your teachers, but reserve your worship for God alone.

Eventually, one comes to recognize that life itself has always been the greatest guru.

Every relationship — a divine reflection.

Every conflict — an opportunity to unify.

Every obstacle — an offering to deepen our connection to one another, to love, to compassion, to grace……and to allow our own personal and collective metamorphosis.

As the light of awareness continues to pour itself upon humanity, the shadows long concealed within the subconscious will begin to stir -- for they can no longer remain hidden.

And though we may feel the impulse to resist or project, we are being called to soften… to allow them to rise and meet the light.

Let this moment serve as a sacred reminder,Now is not the hour to let darkness lull us back to sleep. Now is the time to tend the flame and keep our lanterns lit.

Notice what is arising, within and around you.Welcome it. Allow it.It may not come without struggle,But may we allow it to unfold without suffering.

May we be preservers of all things good, holy, and pure.

May we inspire all things loving and true.

May we be salt.

May we be light.
