About the event
What is a gong bath?
Listeners often describe the unique sonic field produced by gongs as a dream-like state where fears are laid aside, answers present themselves and the body resets to a peaceful baseline. It’s a multi-dimensional sound experience offering profound relaxation and relief.
Settle in with sounds of drums, bells, and singing bowls. Journey ever deeper into yourself through the transformational power of the gongs. Return on flute melodies created just for you.
Every gong bath is as unique as the listeners because instruments respond to the time of year, celestial arrangements and the energies of the people present. A gong bath is usually experienced lying down on one’s back on a mat or in a comfortable chair. You are fully clothed, no water is involved. “Bath” in a gong bath is a wash of sound. Bring blankets, mat and pillow for your comfort.
It's an opportunity for meditation and relaxation where even people who CAN’T (meditate) CAN travel to sacred interior spaces that open within this spontaneous sound environment.
Your hosts for this happening are Drumsinger A. Michelle, Barbara Barlow and Nancy Turcotte Fallon. All are trained in sound therapy and Reiki.
